WORDHIVE — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 May 2026

The short version

Wordhive does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your game progress is stored only on your device.

What data is stored on your device

The app saves the following on your device only, never sent anywhere:

This data lives in iOS's own secure on-device storage. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Network usage

The app makes one type of network request: when you tap a found word to see its definition, Wordhive looks up the word using the public Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev). Only the word you tapped is sent. No personal information, device identifiers, or other data is included in the request.

The Dictionary API is operated by a third party. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policy.

Children's privacy

Wordhive is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from any user, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's App Store listing.
